Bavarian Fiesta in the TOP 10 Snorkel Tours of Cozumel and TV Update!


In the last month many things happened again to our company and first of all we are really happy to be meanwhile in the Top 10 Snorkel Tours of Cozumel, ranked by TripAdvisor and Viator! It makes us really happy that you like out concept of a great service, amazings spots and small groups and we want to say thank you to all our guests that we had so far for your support!

Addionally to this we have a great Blog post on The Present Perspective of our guest Greg for us, who gives you a good feeling to what you can expect on trips with our glass bottom boat. Thank you for your visit and also your feedback! It helps us to get even better and also our new guests!

Last but not least we are happy that we had some weeks ago a german tv broadcast with us that is telling in a small documentary the story of us (video is in german only). You can find the video beside or on their website. Thanks to Taff for giving us the chance to show our small company!

We are operating meanwhile since some weeks our tours and first of all we have to say a large thank you to our guests! Everone of you was amazing and we loved to be your host on Cozumel and hope to see you soon again!

Bavarian Fiesta has always the goal to bring you to really the best snorkel spots and we want to lift the tours on a next level with our service. That's why we are for example the only tour on the Island that offers trips to the unique ship wrecks, we are the including really everything in our price and you can enjoy so much drinks and food like you want - not like on the other tours.

Our goal is to bring you the ocean and its beauty in a perfect mix and so far also the recommendations of our guests tell us: we are doing it very well! The adventure starts now!


First of all we warmly welcome you on Bavarianfiesta.com with a huge Servus, Herzlich Willkommen, Hola or just: Welcome!

After beeing stucked in México cause of the Corona pandemia we, that is Frida (Mexicana) and Alex (German), the owners of Bavarian Fiesta, were thinking about how we can bring the beauty of Cozumel in a new way to the island.

Frida is owning a restaurant in Cozumel and Alex was working for several years in marketing in his hometown Munich. Together we decided to bring the german / bavarian tradition to the mexican kindness and beautyful ocean. With our beer colored boat, german quality standards and our local crew we combine all together to offer you a completly new snorkel adventure.

You will not only see all different kind of tropical fish, like sting rays, mantas, paradise fish or even turtles, you will also have the chance to taste the amazing best german beer in the middle of the caribeen.

Where is Cozumel?

Cozumel is an island round about 16 kilometer away from the coast of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, the Yucatán island in México.

Yucatán is one of the 32 states which comprise the Federal Entities of Mexico with the capital city called Mérida. It is enclosed to the states of Campeche to the southwest and Quintana Roo to the southeast surrounded by the Gulf of México.

The area of Yucatán is especially famous for its amazing beaches and the Maya culture with some of the most famous archeological buildings and cities in the world. The most famous might be Chichen Itza, that is also a part of the world culture heritage. Other famous places are Ek Balam, the pyramids of Coba or a crystal blue lagoon in the south, called Bacalar.


How do I get to Cozumel?

You can come to Cozumel with the ferrys directly from Playa del Carmen. One trip takes you round about 30 minutes with new and modern ferry boats.

International flights are going from nearly all over the world (like USA, Canada, Spain, Germany, Swiss, other countries of Europe) to Cancun. A flight from Europe, with for example Lufthansa, to Cancun takes round about 11 hours. From the United States it takes just 1-4 hours to get there. More and more Airlines, like Air Canada, or Interjet are offering directly flights to Cozumel from Toronto or Montreal. From USA you can come for example directly with Southwest Airlines - depending on the season.


What is Cozumel famous for?

The Island of Cozumel, or also called San Miguel de Cozumel, is especially famous for its beaches, cliffs, reefs and maritim animals.

On Cozumel you will find crystal clear water of the Caribbean sea with an unbelievable nature. Divers and snorkelers all over the world come to see maybe the most beautiful reefs (like Palancar, Columbia Reef or the for starfish famous El Cielo) and different sort of fish on planet earth. You can find here all kind of sting rays, mantas, sharks, dolphins, turtles, lobsters and thousands of other different tropical life. In the south of Cozumel you find the famous Punta Sur Statepark with his lighthouse and hundreds of flamingos and even crocodiles. On Cozumel you also find additionally tequila tours or can see by yourself how to create chocolate in one of the cacao factories.

In the evening you have from the beach or a boat an amazing sunset with a colorful sky and clouds. You see, Cozumel always worth a trip for snorkeling and explore the island. And now you have the chance to discover it with our bavarian, fresh german beer.


Where can I stay on Cozumel?

Cozumel offers places to stay for every kind of wish and budget. You can stay on Cozumel in one of the charming hostels, especially also for snorkeling and diving, in private apartments or also luxury all-inclusive resorts. A more and more common way is also to stay beside the normal Hotels in private rented homes. You can book them over pages like AirBnb  or check accommodations on Tripadvisor.  In general the people of Cozumel are very friendly and it is also a very safe island with an relaxing lifestyle. So you don’t have to worry about anything and can absolutely enjoy your trip and snorkeling tour.
